All of these pieces are a celebration of place, of memory and of the mystery of belief.
The histories of the world breathe through public and private ritual, and nowhere more than in the ghost soil of The County. I did my best to spend this year of dreams and contemplation somewhere between your England and my Appalachia, between imagined place and the physical world, between the shadows and the light, to find each dirge, reel, march, and dance. The road into that paranatural place is grown over and easy to miss, but an incomparable blessing when found.
The heart of this work pulses there. - W
